Since our founding in 1946, BMT has staged a vast array of musicals, operas, and special events. Our Main Productions at The Redgrave Theatre are the centrepiece of our performance calendar — full-scale productions that bring our members together to create something truly special. From classic musicals to modern favourites, these shows are a chance for us to take to the stage in style, with full sets, costumes, and all the energy of a live theatre experience. They showcase the passion, dedication, and talent of our entire company, both onstage and behind the scenes. Curtains

1959.
The curtain is about to go up, but the real drama is happening backstage! With a disastrous opening night, a resentful cast and a murdered leading lady, everyone’s a suspect; but the show must go on!

Oklahoma, America, just after the turn of the century. High-spirited rivalry between farmers and cowboys provides a colourful backdrop for Curly McLain and Laurey Williams’ love story. But love is never simple, as the desires and jealousies of others only complicate matters.

Made in Dagenham

It’s Essex 1968 and Ford Dagenham have dropped the women’s pay grade to ‘unskilled’. Drawing on a strength she never knew she had, a working mother leads her friends in a battle against the might of Ford and the corruption of the union supposed to protect them. Refusing to be second-class citizens, the women embark on a monumental journey towards equality; but will the pressure be too much?

Our Review Shows every Autumn are a vibrant celebration of our members’ talents in a more intimate setting.
These showcases offer the perfect opportunity for individuals to step into the spotlight, whether through solos, duets, or small group numbers, as well as opening up opportunities to direct, choreograph numbers and get creative. With a smaller cast and a relaxed atmosphere, every performer gets their moment to shine. It’s a wonderful way for us to share the breadth and depth of talent in our community, and a great way for audiences to experience something special.
